Web design and development
A site that exists is not the same as a site that works. We build ones that load quickly, read properly on a phone, can be found, and are wired into whatever happens after someone gets in touch.
Most business websites fail in one of three ordinary ways. They are slow, because someone loaded them with plugins. They are unreadable on a phone, which is where most of the visitors are. Or they collect an enquiry and drop it into a mailbox nobody checks, which is the same as not having a form.
We build sites as software, because that is what they are. That means they are fast by default, they work at phone width first, the content is structured so search engines and AI tools can read it, and the enquiry path is tested end to end before launch.
What do we build?
Marketing sites
The site that explains what you do and gets people to contact you. Written to be read by a person and understood by a search engine, which turn out to be the same job done well.
Web applications
When the site needs to do something: portals, dashboards, booking, member areas, customer self service. The same foundations as any system we build.
Installable apps
Progressive web apps that install to a phone with their own icon, work offline where the job needs it, and skip the app store approval queue entirely.
Findability
Clean URLs, structured data, sitemaps and page content deep enough to rank. Not tricks, just the things that let a search engine understand what you offer.
Speed and accessibility
Small pages, few dependencies, readable text, real tap target sizes and sensible contrast. This is cheaper to do at build time than to retrofit.
A working enquiry path
The form is connected, tested, and delivers to a mailbox somebody reads. We check this after launch, not before.
Questions
What do people ask about web design and development?
Do you use WordPress?
Usually not. Most business sites do not need a plugin ecosystem, and the ones that have it spend their life being updated and patched. We build lighter, which makes the site faster and much cheaper to keep secure. If you genuinely need a content team publishing daily, we will talk about the right tool for that.
Can we edit the content ourselves?
Yes, where you need to. For a site that changes a few times a year, editing is part of the support arrangement and costs you nothing extra. For one that changes weekly, we build in an editor. We will ask how often you really expect to change it, because the honest answer usually surprises people.
Will it rank on Google?
Nobody can promise a ranking, and you should be careful of anyone who does. What we can do is remove the reasons a site fails to rank: thin content, slow pages, missing structure, no clear answer to the question a searcher typed.
Do you do the writing?
We draft, you correct. The specifics that make copy convincing live in your head, not ours, so we would rather interview you for an hour than invent claims you then have to defend.
Tell us what you are trying to fix
Send a short description of the problem rather than a feature list. If we are a fit, we will come back with an approach and a price. If we are not, we will say so.
